Diego Alonso () is based in Miami, FL and is one of the U.S.’s most experienced guitarists specializing in Spanish, Classical, Flamenco, Flamenco Jazz, Latin, and Latin Jazz. He has performed for over 5000 clients and has over 18 years of international performance and teaching experience in over 15 countries. Every year, Diego plays over 300 events including concert venues, library programs, fairs, festivals, house concerts, private events, school assemblies, universities and more. Diego performs as a soloist, with his Flamenco Latin Jazz Project, his Flamenco Music & Dance Ensemble, and his Spanish Guitar Duo. As an educator, Diego also gives educational performances and lectures at high schools, universities, and music schools across the globe on Flamenco History, Music, and Dance.
Diego graduated with Highest Honors in Flamenco Guitar Performance from the Fundación Cristina heeren (Sevilla, Spain) and holds a Masters degree in Flamencology (Musicology/Ethnomusicology & Pedagogy in Flamenco) from the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain).
