Diego Alonso: Client Reviews

We had the distinct pleasure of having Diego over at our home for a party this past weekend. He did not disappoint! What a talent! Diego is not only friendly and kind, he is a very talented musician. His fingers move like nothing I've ever seen and the music they produce is simply beautiful. He played for two hours, we couldn't get enough, people started dancing and we asked him to stay for more. Overall, a phenomenal experience and such a treat. He made the night very special and my friends and I won't forget it any time soon.

We were fortunate to engage Diego Alonso for an evening of classical guitar at our home for a private party. He arrived promptly and set up inconspicuously. He provided two hours of beautiful music including one hour accompanying a wonderful flamenco dancer. On behalf of all 80 of our guests, five stars were definitely earned for enhancing our evening and providing a very special touch to the gathering.   Diego is highly recommendable!   As an added touch, he bravely allowed me to sing some songs with his accompaniment for our guests. Top-notch service!

Diego is a true professional performer.  He arrived exactly on time.  He set up on our outside patio.  His playing was lovely and was enjoyed by all the guests.  I would eagerly use him again.

Diego Alonso with Sonanta Music Productions was the first and only musician I contacted to play at my wedding in July of 2018 and I am so happy that I did. From the first e-mail exchange I had with Diego, I sensed that he was professional, thorough and very reasonable. I was right; I really can't say enough about him. Not only is Diego incredibly talented and will bring a unique and lovely sound to your event, but he is a total professional and was a pleasure to work with.

Initially Diego was going to play at our cocktail reception and during the luncheon, but he ended up accompanying the violinist for the recessional which was a total treat and a great segue into the next part of the wedding. In addition and per my request, he had an accompanist join him for the last hour and a half of the luncheon to bring more energy to the room. Since one of my guests is a professor flamenco dancer, Diego and his colleague played a Sevillana upon request and she performed for my guests. It was amazing! Both Diego and his colleague were a total hit and the majority of the compliments we received after the wedding were attributed to his music and talent.

If you are tired of loud DJs and looking for a unique, sophisticated and energetic sound at your wedding, look no further than Spanish Guitar Chicago. I only wish I had another social event where I could hire Diego!

Diego played our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. The music was beautiful and he was super professional. He contacted us before hand to get to know our musical taste and make suggestions. He even learned a couple of our faviorite songs and played them flawlessly with a little extra flare! Even I got a little misty eyed (the groom)!

Highly recommend Diego!! Thanks for making our day even more special!!!
